A regular meeting of the Mobile Payments Project working group (Infocommunication Union) was held on July 9, 2008

The Infocommunication Union’s representatives, PC MegaFon, PC Mobile TeleSystems, CC SkyLink, PC JSCB Tavrichesky, PC JSCB Svyaz-Bank, PC JSCB MBRD, the Federal State Unatery Enterprise (FSUE) Leningrad Branch Scientific Research Institute of Communication (LBSRIC) and other organizations interested in mobile commerce development in Russia took part in the meeting.

The participants of the meeting were presented reports on the second stage of the research work "Experimental Zone: Analysis of NFC Application in the Systems of Contactless and Mobile Payments in the Russian Federation" and "Results of Independent Research by MNOs and Banks in the Fragments of the Experimental Zone of the UPP". The reports were approved by the meeting participants and recommended for submission to the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation.
The members of the working group also discussed the possibility of presenting Mobile Payments Project at different international and domestic events in the framework of the mobile commerce market development.
